Free Winter Steelpan Workshops

We held 3 free winter steelpan workshops, led by Denise Als and hosted by Aldene at Tribal Carnival, over three Saturdays in March. These well-received sessions left participants inspired and eager to learn more. Each 2-hour session was filled with history, education, music, fun, and delicious food. Participants enjoyed an immersive experience that deepened their appreciation for the steelpan and its cultural significance. Thanks to Frontlines for funding this enriching project, which brought together community members of all ages to celebrate and learn about this vibrant musical tradition and contribute to a more inclusive Canada.
